Painting a baby... what an idea. At the time of doing it, it seemed strange to me, probably because I don't remember seeing many of them in museums. The baby is a non subject. Interesting! But why? Its expressions and postures are varied, explicit, sometimes paroxysmal. What's more, I found it hard to translate his emotions here. Is he laughing or shouting? The answer lies in the title. He's definitely a laughing, mocking, playful baby. Pure emotion.
